This usually happens because the character folder name does not match the internal character data, or because Steam Cloud is overriding your local files. Ensure cloud saving is temporarily disabled and the folder structure is correct.

OneDrive might grab your Documents folder, hijacking saves. Check \OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\ if you cannot find them in your regular Documents folder.
