Before downloading any firmware, you need to identify the version currently installed on your ML-2850.
You can check your current version by logging into the printer's SyncThru Web Service (if networked) and looking under the Maintenance tab.
Unfortunately, most firmware updaters do not allow downgrading (they check that the new version is higher). However, if you find a standalone .bin file and a tool like Samsung Printer Firmware Utility , you can force a downgrade at your own risk.
